Since moving to Italy, we have been busy discovering local and regional brocante (flea market) items and are here to help you bring some European style into your home! We have vendors who ship all over the world. We also have contacts who can arrange for the ultimate experience - Flea Market shopping in Paris! We’ll guide you in the search for the perfect unique pieces to complete your home or office and assist with all the details.
Meet the Designer
I love helping people define & create spaces that truly reflect their personality. For me, the essence of a well-lived life is being surrounded by treasured objects, beautiful colors & fabrics, marvelous music, gorgeous gardens, delicious food, and the warmth of friendship.
Aesthetic by nature, I studied Art, Design and French at the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in Fine Art. Heeding the siren song of Dance, I seized the moment as a young woman and performed with many local choreographers. But interiors - and gardens - beckoned, and in 1999 I opened Piacenza Design. I now move furnishings through space & time, instead of bodies, and select fabrics for furniture and accessories, instead of costumes!
My intention is to help spark the creation of, and appreciation for, Beauty in all facets of our hectic lives: material, spiritual, social. To that end, I believe that Creative Collaborations + Intuition can lead to Inspired Design and help make traveling along the path of Life much more rewarding.
For many years, I lived in an ever-evolving vintage Seattle home with my husband and Samantha Rose, a spunky Samoyed. We made the decision to embrace a complete change and now live in the inspiring Renaissance city of Florence, Italy. I have a grown son.
Seeing projects through from concept to completion, along with my team of impeccable artisans, installers and vendors, is my passion. Having thrilled clients is my goal! Let’s chat about your space, your vision, and the possibilities.
